Fit Impressions, LLC is a small boutique fitness studio that offers one-on-one personal training, group training and “pop up” fitness classes. The studio provides a warm comfortable atmosphere to train in and caters to women who do not like “big box” gyms.
If you choose to work with Kelly one-on-one, she provides nutritional guidance, coaching and accountability. While Kelly is not a registered dietician, she is certified in nutrition and very knowledgeable about clean eating. Together, you and Kelly will develop an attainable plan customized for you. Kelly prides herself on not only offering her knowledge in training but offering her emotional support as well on a woman’s fitness journey.
A Few Words
Fit Impressions has been in business for seven years as of August 2019. What started as a fulfilling “part-time” gig has blosomed into a business I never saw coming. Recently, in May of 2019, I moved into a much bigger space to allow for a more comfortable environment to provide nutritional consults as well as a room for small group training and very small classes of 3-4 people. I’m proud to say I have worked with women from ages 16 to 68. In my seven years of personal training, I have found that every single woman I have worked with has different needs and goals. What works for one person does not necessarily work for another. Thus why I do not take a “cookie cutter” approach to my clients. I take each invidual’s needs, personality, lifestyle and goals into consideration when writing a workout plan. I believe my dedication and attention to detail that I give all my clients is what makes me different from other trainers.
I believe in a healthy lifestyle and a healthy balance. I’m not a trainer that believes every lady should be a Size 2. I believe we should love our bodies no matter what size it is as long as we can move that body with strength and grace. I believe we should take a healthy approach to our every day diet incorporating fruits and vegetables and we should allow for an occasional treat or sweets (aka chocolate). I do not believe we need to do nonstop cardio or lift unreasonably heavy weights to achieve our goals. I believe that every women MUST take time out for herself in order to be a better mother, wife, daughter and/or friend.
Is it easy to change our habits? No, it is not. Are we perfect all the time? No, we are not. But I can help show you the path to balance and help you feel strong and healthy in your beautiful body.
Kelly has an Associate Degree’s in Legal Studies from Champlain College in Burlington, Vermont and is a certified Personal Trainer through American College of Sports Medicine. She is Barre Above Certified, Barre Intensity trained, Stott Pilates Mat, Reformer & Chair trained and holds a SCW Mat Pilates Certification and a SCW Certificate in Nutrition, Hormones & Metabolism. She is also certified as a FASTer Way to Fat Loss Coach.
In light of COVID-19, I have designed a Virtual On-Line 1:1 Training Program as well as weekly classes via Zoom. My favorite part of training has always been meeting with my clients in person and chatting about their personal life, goals and current events in addition to training them and teaching proper form. Unfortunately, we all have had to adjust and find new ways to interact via Zoom and FaceTime. Although I don’t feel virtual sessions achieve the same experience as “in person” training, I do believe these virtual sessions are the next best thing. After conducting virtual sessions the past two weeks, I have received many follow-up texts from my clients telling me they felt so much better after meeting with me. So why not try out a session with me? You will feel better moving your body and having interaction wth another individual outside of your family unit. What makes personal training work for people is the accountability of meeting with me once or twice a week. I can still hold you accountable via our FaceTime sessions so why not give it a try!
